In the Right Line (2003)
Artist Note: This piece is one of the few truly companion pieces I have done as far as exact size and continuity implies. They belong together but I would be remiss to suggest they would not brighten one's den or sunlit parlor.
The companion piece (in this portfolio) is "Showering." These pieces are also an historical exception in that they are historically based. I title pieces after -sometimes long after- the work is completed. The titles here are matter-of-fact: even the opposites of "right" ("wrong" or "left") are close enough.
Watercolor, charcoal, Tech pen, pointed brush, stripped art tape on 5 x 13" Fabriano paper.
